The Lore RPG rules were updated across all three books. Let there be balance. The key areas of changes are outlined here.
The baton weapon was created and other weapon stats were adjusted along with the Crippling weapon property being removed. A starting character's HP were reduced along with their HR. Numerous Talent changes, removals, and additions. The Deflected term was introduced to unify how abilities reduce damage and the Stone Skin (renamed to Physical Protection), Elemental Protection, and Mystic Protection spells were completely reworked. The Touch mystic attack was removed. Athletics changed from Health + Strength to Strength + Agility. The Escape action changed to only allow Acrobatics, not Athletics. The Ring and Pulse spells were changed and moved to higher levels. The Web and Grease spells adjusted after a scenario for abuse was raised. Mystic Chains, Influence Animal, Influence Creature, Compulsion, Confuse, Daze, Reflect Aether, and Oracle's Ward spells were changed while the Necrotic Protection and Despair spells were added. The effects of fighting in confined spaces were simplified. Multiple Relics were re-balanced and tweaked. The Soul Reaver weapon Relic was added.
We have been saving these changes until everything was fully realigned and believe the rules now allow for more balanced play.

The Lore RPG rules were updated for all three books. Changes were extensive throughout.
A major design shift involving treasure and reward changes was implemented to refocus the Player Character's drive from killing enemies to accomplishing an adventure's objectives. Enemy treasure is no longer based upon an encounter's XP but rather a wealth level assigned to each creature. Adventure treasure now makes up the majority of a characters rewards versus encounter treasure and progression is linear instead of exponential. The random gem and art table was rebalanced for the new system and may now result in reagents (gems) and Relics (art). Some gear pricing was also changed for balance. Starting funds and fame rules for new Player Characters were changed.
Language rules were updated to now include 3 different levels (limited, basic, and fluent) creating a more granular language system with clearer rules on language usage.
Some other key changes include: Master and Unique weapons bonuses, Warlock Combat Tactics, Deadman Walking elixir benefits, Dying rules (ouch), Break Link action, along with too many Talent changes to list (give Talents a full reread).
Some new Relics are: Potion of Phasing, Rod of Crafting, and Rod of Dissolution.
Along with the Wealth stat block being added for enemies, the following creatures had some additional changes: "Dark Moon, Acolyte", Lizard Man, Crusher", "Desert Scum", "Evil Eye Spirit", "Zombie, Fresh", "Dog, Desert", and "Dog, Mongrel".
Play testing these extensive changes took longer than usual but we are very happy with the latest version and hope you are too.

The Lore RPG rules were updated in the Adventurers Handbook and Creatures Compendium.
The Adventures Handbook had a large number of changes. Critical Dodge, Quick Parry, Vital Protection, Take It Like a Man, Deflecting Ward, and Spirit Shield Talents were deleted. Tactical Dodge, Predictive Link, Precise Strike, and Quick Draw Talents were adjusted for balance. Blunt Force, Prone Strike, and Quick Stow Talents were added. Most non Talent modifiers that affect an Attack check now also affect the Critical check of martial attacks, such as the Charge action and range modifiers. The 1st level Returning Weapon spell was added.
The Creatures Compendium had twelve new enemies added. The new enemies are "Wight, Reaper", "Wight, Vengeful", "Wight, Corrupted", "Mercenary, Rogue", "Skeleton, Warrior", "Skeleton, Archer", "Deep Dwarf, Soldier", "Deep Dwarf, Warp", "Hydra, 4 Headed", "Giant, Berserker", "Druid, Wild (Elf)", and "Evil Eye Spirit". The "Lizardman, Ferral" was adjusted for balance.
We hope everyone enjoys the changes.

Additionally, the Provoked Strike and Focused Shift Mobility Talents were added and significant balance adjustments were made to the XP values for Minions. Craigdenmor Forged weapons were added to the Realms Guidebook.
